Gijs (pronounced “Guys”), originally from the Netherlands, started his career in Investment Banking and Private Equity before embracing entrepreneurship with Rocket Internet in Asia. His passion for sneakers and insights into Southeast Asia’s Gen Z led him to found Ox Street, a platform that connects young fashion enthusiasts with their authentic style. After Ox Street was acquired by Carousell Group in 2021, Gijs continues to work with Carousell as one of the most senior leaders in the Group, the Regional Head of Luxury, focusing on luxury buying and selling experiences. Gijs’s career is marked by a combination of analytical skills, leadership and creative vision, shaped by his diverse experiences and love for fashion.
