Years of working in the food sustainability space exposed Amelia to many of the problems facing our food system, including soil health, food security and climate change. She realised that beans, with their millions of varieties and soil rejuvenating properties, were the answer to so many issues and decided to do something about it. Going back to the moment where her bean perception changed forever (Her Erasmus exchange in Madrid where she first tasted an heirloom bean), she decided to bring these to the UK and launch a brand “on a mission to make you obsessed with beans, by giving you the best of beans”.
Nearly three years on, she now has a bestselling cookbook; “Bold Beans”, and her award winning beans are sold in major supermarkets across the UK including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and M&S.

Bold Bean Co’s commitment to recipe content and purpose has cultivated a dedicated following and moved the business from not only FMCG, but into the food media space. They’ve leveraged influencer marketing and owned content to build a real community with no ad spend.
